Adding a Hose Timer to a Hub
In order to pair your Hose Tap Timer to your Hub, your Hub needs to be connected to the internet, go back to the previous page to find out how to connect your hub.
- Make sure your device is in pairing mode (the light will be blinking blue). To put it in pairing mode, press the Bhyve Button 5 times.
- Tap on Settings
- Tap “Devices”
- Click Add Device
- Tap Hose Faucet Timer
- For this part, you need to be next to your timer and your timer needs to be within distance of the hub. Each timer will act as an extension of the network, improving the distance you can have between your Bhyve Hose Faucet Timer (HT25) and your Bhyve Hub. Tap the Bhyve button 5 times on your Hose Faucet Timer to put the timer into “Pair” mode. The light will blink a few times red, and then it should begin blinking blue every 3 seconds, indicating your timer is in pair mode.
- Make sure your HT25 is powered on.
- Tap “My Device is Powered On”
- The app will now begin looking for your HT25.
- If your MAC address matches your timer, tap “This Matches My Device” to advance to the next step.
- If not, tap “This is Not My Device” and it will begin the search again.
- Now you will select how you want to connect your timer.
- Tap “Connect via Wi-Fi”
- This will take you to the Device Grouping page. Select your group (created when the Hub is connected).
- Success! Your devices are now connected!
It will now take you through the configuration steps.
- The timer will first ask you to set your address. This will auto-fill based off of your Hubs settings. These can be changed at any time.
- You will then need to give the timer a name.
- The app will then give you an option to complete setup now, or do it later. Tap “Continue”.
- You will then be prompted with the option of setting up a Smart program or setting up a more traditional custom program. We will set up a traditional program here.
- The valve will need to run a test to calibrate the built-in flow tester. At this point, you want to make sure that your timer is connected to the faucet and the water is turned on.
- You will then be asked to name the program and provide it with a start time. The setup will only allow one start time, but you can add a second after setup is complete.
- You will then be asked to set up the run time, this is how long your valve is going to run. The timer can run anywhere from 15 seconds to 4 hours (260 minutes).
- Now we set up the watering days. This can be a specific number of days, odd or even calendar days, or a set interval of day. If you choose interval, you can set a start date as well.
- Congratulations! Your Timer is now connected to your hub with a basic program set up.
