I have purchased a B-Hyve Smart Hose Faucet Timer via Amazon for delivery to Europe. I assumed that it would then be delivered with garden hose connectors suitable for the European market.
I have read the following about the differences for garden hose connectors in the US / Canada and the rest of the world
The thread standard for garden hose connectors in the United States, its territories, and Canada is known as a garden hose thread (GHT), but its official designation is NH (NH stands for “National Hose”.
¾-11.5NH is for full shape threads as produced by cutting material such as the brass spigot outlet or hose male or female than fitting found on more expensive hoses;
¾ -11.5NHR is for thin-walled couplers produced by rolling thin material, usually brass, typically found on less expensive hoses;
¾-14NPSH is for female hose ends that mate a hose to a tapered pipe thread without a spigot.
In other countries, a British Standard Pipe (BSP) thread is used, which is 3/4 inch and 14 TPI (male part outside diameter is 26.441 mm or 1.04 in).
The GHT and BSP standards are not compatible, and attempting to connect a GHT hose to a BSP fitting, or vice versa, will damage the threads.
I suppose I need two adapters to use B-Hyve Smart Hose Faucet Hours in Europe
“Female (GHT)> Male (BSP)”
“Male (GHT)> Female (BSP)”
Do you agree that these are the adapters I need?
I have unsuccessfully attempting to purchase the above adapters in the Canary Islands where I am located. I think you should deliver B-Hyve Smart Hose Faucet with these adapters when you sell the product to Europe, as it is now the B-Hyve Smart Hose Faucet is unusable in Europe. Can you send me adapters or at least inform me of where I can buy them for delivery to the Canary Islands?
Best regards Hans Paulson
