Community Home › Community › B-Hyve APP Forum › Adjust MAXRT – the watering times are so long it is causing run-off!!!!
I need to adjust teh computed value, which is MAX RT to prevent the “smart” watering from causing huge run-off !!!
With the “correct” settings, the app insists on absurdly long watering times, which cause my lawn to be over watered, and water to be pouring down my street!
This is crazy.
I really like the automatic rain delay, but otherwise this is a disaster, please, PLEASE fix this.
I can no longer use Smart watering, because it is Stupid watering.
It looks like there is a defect in the calculation of MAXRT. I raised this issue via a chat, but have not heard back yet. In my case, MAXRT is computed as a negative number which results in runtimes limited to 1 minute. According to the help, MAXRT = (60 * ASA)/(AR-BIR). My application rate, (AR) is less than the infiltration rate (BIR). This causes MAXRT to be negative. That doesn’t make sense, if application rate is lower than infiltration, there won’t be runoff!
So maybe your case is the opposite, AR is greater than BIR.
Perhaps a temporary workaround is to swap the two factors, AR and BIR, to change the sign in the equation.
arvonn, you can adjust the runtime in each zones smart details under watering schedule adjustments. after you have a smart watering schedule set if you’d like us to take a look at your system please provide us with your mac address.
