Tagged: Android
My neighbor has the 12 station outdoor controller that he controls with the app on his android phone. He has a problem where the application wants to add a controller each time he initially launches the app. It used to be if he closed the app at that point and re-launched it everything worked normally. He contacted Orbit, and after some troubleshooting they sent him a new controller. We set up the new controller and found the same behavior. We then uninstalled the app and re-installed it from the phone. Once everything was set up again we tested closing and re-opening the app. Now we are lucky if the application sees the controller 1 out of every 10 attempts.
The wifi signal is strong, the controller is only a few feet from the access point.
Has anyone else seen this problem?
Rwitzel, could you please provide us with is timers mac address? That way we can first take a look at his timer from our end, and check to see if it’s connected to his account or not. Thank you.
