Calendar details for today shows 8 Smart Watering events for a particular zone, each event for 4 minutes:
5:59, 6:16, 6:32, 6:48, 6:00, 6:16, 6:32, 6:48. It appears that each event is showing twice (if one rounds up the 5:59 to 6:00)
The irrigation amount for these 8 events is .35″
A prior day shows 4 4-minute events also with .35″ of irrigation.
Watering History shows only 4 4-minute events for today: 6:48, 6:32, 6:16, 5:59:59. (sorted in reverse chronological order).
This is on iOS. The App level is Version 1.7.25 (442)Spread the love!June 5, 2018 at 4:35 pm #2662
Smart watering will break up a watering, and use multiple short watering cycles instead of one long one. It’s showing the times ascending for future watering’s, because that is the order of then the next closest one. Then in watering history it’s descending because that is the order from the most recent watering. If you do not like the way it is currently watering you could try using the watering schedule adjustments found in each zones smart details page.Spread the love!June 6, 2018 at 2:30 pm #2743GooseParticipant
I have the same problem – I set up a manual program to water two zones starting at 6am, running 10 minutes on then sitting off ten minutes, then on again at 6:20, 6:40, and 7am. This is 40 minutes of actual watering.
After the watering occurs, the calendar shows that it came on for 10 minutes apiece at: 5:59, 6:19, 6:39, 6:59, 6:00, 6:20, 6:40, and 7:00 for a total of 1hr 20mins of watering. Obviously this is not possible since the times overlap, but as a result I have no confidence that it knows how much it’s actually watering. I guess I’ll have to sit outside one morning and time it…?Spread the love!June 6, 2018 at 9:22 pm #2765
Yes, agree with Goose. Confidence in the device and app are waning.
Ryan – Please reread our posts. We are aware that Smart Watering takes place over multiple events, and I’m not too concerned that the times are sorted differently across views.
The issue is that the App (at least) is inaccurate – reporting twice as many events in one view as in another. So… I do not know for certain how much watering is taking place. Should I trust the Calendar that shows 32 minutes for a given zone or Watering History that shows 16 minutes?
These inconsistencies are the cause of my concern. My water bill will likely be my next concern if over-watering is occurring.Spread the love!June 6, 2018 at 9:44 pm #2773

@Goose, Iv’e taken a look at your system and everything seems to be in order. As to why on the 6th it listed three of your scheduled watering’s twice on your watering history i’m not sure. However there was some server work being done last week so it could have been an issue derived from that. It seems that it was a firmware issue, so I’ve gone a head and updated it for you. Looking at todays watering history it shows everything correctly. If it continues please let us know.
@jwrey01, I’ve taken a look at your system and cannot find an issues. I’ve taken a look at your calendar and there are no future watering’s that seem out of the ordinary, and your watering history shows similar watering’s to your scheduled ones. There is a limit to four start times for each scheduled watering cycle/program. If your issue continues please let us know.
The calendar show your future/scheduled watering’s and the watering history shows what occurred.Spread the love!June 14, 2018 at 3:59 pm #3271
The cycle repeats! ha-ha
Today’s Calendar shows 8 events while History shows only 4. I hope it is just a reporting bug in the App and not leading to under- or over-watering.

I also agree with Goose. The calendar history has duplicate entries, each duplicate is one minute apart. As such the totals end up being double what they should be. I really do not believe it is watering twice since the times for each duplicate log entry is only one minute apart and overlap until the last minute of each log entry. I believe the cause of this issue is common to all of us, it’s likely to be the same solution for all of us.
In addition it sure would be nice to be to edit these logs, to correct for malfunctions such as valve not opening etc,. Also I would like the ability to export this data to a windows based machine (Excel) so the data can be backed up or printed for reference.
I just installed my B-Hyve 12 station controller yesterday. And for the most part I think the app is nice, the layout is good, and the controller connected to WIFI easily. I do think the electronic module needs to be better secured in the enclosure. It kept wanting to move while tightening the wires.

@jwrey01, i’m looking at your calendar and it show the 4 start times for zones 1, 3, 5, 6, & 7. I’m not sure where you’re reading 8. If your having any confusions, I’d suggest calling into our product support line for help.
@Flex, if you could please give me your mac address i’ll take a look into it. it may be similar to goose where one day was recorded incorrectly. You most likely need a firmware update.Spread the love!June 15, 2018 at 4:38 pm #3308
@Ryan. How would I know if I am confused if my perception is that I am not? :-).
I only use the App on my iPhone. If I push the Calendar icon at the bottom left, then I get a typical calendar display showing 7 days across and 5 weeks down (June and a bit of July). If I tap on today’s date (the 15th) I see today’s hours, starting with 6:00AM and several hours following, and can scroll if needed. Each hour is split into 4 lines, to show various events I assume. My 6:00AM through 7:30 blocks are covered with 4 Smart Watering events, ex. “Smart Watering 6:00 am ~26 min”. The start times for the other 3 are in 6:26, 6:52 and 7:18. If I press on this block, then I get a “Watering Events” display which shows each of the zones being watered on that day, split into two columns – Run Times and Moisture Levels. The Run Times is where there are 8 events shown. Example, for one zone it shows 8 run times: 5:59 am, 6:26, 6:52, 7:18, 6:00, 6:26, 6:52, 7:18. Each is for 6 minutes for 48 minutes total.
This problem seems to only happen for the current day. For example, yesterday the 14th, it also showed twice the events. If I press on the 14th today (the 15th) then it shows only 4 events.
I am very confident that tomorrow when I press on the 15th, the 8 events I see today will only appear as 4.

@jwrey01, i’m so sorry for the confusion. I apologize, I misinterpreted your earlier comments, but you’re correct. I discussed it with a developer and this is a known bug showing in your “Watering Events”. the duplicate listings there will be fixed with the next version of the app which should be coming out soon. They’re doing testing for its release right now. So For now just know that it is only being watered once, but recorded twice. Again I apologize for the mix up on my end.
@Flex, I’ve updated your firmware so that should help with any further issues. However like I noted to jwrey01, this issue will be resolved with the next update. Thank you for all of your feedback and suggestions i’ll be sure to pass them up.

Glad I’m not the only one. Freaked me out this morning when I saw the total times listed in watering events until I realized the total time was longer than physically possible when I received notification today’s run was complete. Looking closer revealed the duplicate/repeating entries. I took a screen shot to share but it sound like you guys have it under control.
Also, I just checked again and the duplicate/repeat entries are gone…Spread the love!
