I have the same issue, although when I go back into the app after hitting the back button twice, the controller is always disconnected, making the app useless. I have to connect every time I want to use it. Of course after sitting on hold for nearly 2 hours the customer service rep tells me she’s never heard of this issue. This product is a joke, and customer service is terrible. Waste of money. Now I have a wifi controller I can only use when I am at the unit itself.Spread the love!May 18, 2018 at 7:04 pm #1962
Hello jc77, is this a reoccurring issue or just one over the last day? Also could i have the mac address to your timer to take a look at it? Thanks!Spread the love!May 30, 2018 at 4:55 pm #2368wtaelewisParticipant
For what it’s worth, I had the same problem described above (I was being prompted to log in every time I opened the app on my Google Pixel 2 XL phone). I had not rebooted my phone since installing the app, so I just rebooted it and now it goes directly to my device without prompting for login. If you’re having this problem and have not rebooted your phone since installing the app, try rebooting first. It may solve the problem for you too.Spread the love!June 21, 2018 at 9:10 pm #3784alphacheeseParticipant
I am still experiencing this problem. I only started using the app in May of 2018 and I have had this problem from the beginning. I am using android 7.0 on a samsung galaxy s7 edge and the app is up to date. I always get the “let’s get started” splash screen when the app is opened and not already running. I have to press back and re-open the app 2-4 times before a successful login to my account. The only options on screen are “this is a new device” “this device was previously installed” and “I have a code”.
This is so frustrating to get the app to open up and use.Spread the love!June 21, 2018 at 10:00 pm #3789

Having the same problem with new device screen upon bhyve Android app start. Reboot does not help. Only clearing app data from the settings does, but doing it every time is extremely frustrating. In the past, pressing “back” to exit that screen & app helped but not anymore.

BTW since support is asking for MAC addresses all the time, can you please request the app developers to make that field copyable from the app setting? Currently it shows the text but does not let to select and copy it, which is dumb.Spread the love!July 19, 2018 at 10:39 pm #4942
Hello alexandroid, Have you tried deleting the app completely, and then redownloading it instead of just reopening the app? AlsoSpread the love!July 19, 2018 at 10:47 pm #4943viewofthevalleyParticipant
Ryan: I have cleared the cache, cleared the data, uninstalled the app, rebooted the phone and then installed the app. I have done that whole process multiple times. I did it each time the app was updated for a couple months straight. It did not have any effect for me. (please note that I have not done that in probably more than a month)Spread the love!July 19, 2018 at 11:36 pm #4945alexandroidParticipant
The issue was fixed by BHyve app engineer(s) in the beta version of the app. Sign up for Beta in Google Play store or wait for the official release.Spread the love!
