ParticipantI’m using a 6-zone timer in the video and works fine. Also, have had this set-up for months, and works with my hose timer as well.

ParticipantI just received a text message from Orbit support indicating that homekit compatibility is on hold indefinitely. What a joke

ParticipantEverytime I get an email saying someone has posted on this thread I get my hopes up. Silly boy. I guess they can’t publicly say they have cancelled all intention of delivering on the HomeKit promise. But it sure would be nice for it to be settled.

ParticipantIt was a message via SMS using the text support number +1 (801) 905-8260.
However I’ve tried to verify online and noticed this tweet from an Orbit account indicating it is still something they’re working on with Apple but will not happen at least until October. At this point I am not sure if it will ever happen but at least it keeps my hopes alive.
We are still working with apple to get this up and running, but it will be October at the earliest.

ParticipantWith all due respect to Orbit staff, if I don’t see something besides “we’re still working on it” around HomeKit within the next month, I will migrate to a competitor that does support HomeKit, as my entire ecosystem revolves around it. Some ask why it’s so important or why we care. It’s about control, of our homes and having our IoT devices work [better] together. So far, you’ve have promised it, but have not delivered, 2 years later. And please have Home Depot remove all those deceiving signs from above your products with the HomeKit logo. Such potential, but you missed the boat, and I’m extremely disappointed… You have a quality product, but aren’t delivering on promises you gave customers. 🙁

ParticipantMy 57950 died today after less than two years of use. Orbit provides no warranty so I will definitely switch to something else now.
Over the last two years I have developed a love-hate relationship with this device. Smart watering being the biggest issue. I have seen many, many gallons of water drain from my lawn into the gutter despite how much I adjusted (slope, soil etc.).
The 3rd party app support (like Homekit), firmware issues and the fact that the app often does not show what is going on (and thus does not allow me to stop the watering) were very frustrating.
I really wanted this device to work and invested a lot of time in it but if it doesn’t even survive 2 years then I give up.
Luckily there are many other alternatives these days that seem to be well appreciated by the people who use themSpread the love!August 3, 2020 at 10:15 pm #78908TonyPHX
ParticipantThe Home Depot sign has the Homekit logo. Dammit. I got bit by this false advertising. Thanks Orbit. This consumer is now fully aware of your business style.

ParticipantUgh. Yes. First time. I just do not know how or why a major company like this thinks that this is OK. This is an utter failure of product management and their leadership to deliver the product that was sold to and through Home Depot.
I am going to make sure the buyers at Home Depot are aware of this and how it affects their consumers. I have a lot of friends in purchasing and C-Staff at THD and this is going to get back to somebody at Orbit. This should never have happened, but since it did, they would be smart to deliver on the feature.

ParticipantI decided to get Hoobs for several items but it works great for HomeKit for my orbit sprlinker. I suggest if you want HomeKit still then hoobs or homebridge are your option.

ParticipantWill be moving into a new home in the spring. I had a Bhyve at the old home, but unless Orbit gives me Homekit as promised, the next sprinkler system will be something else. Come on guys, either give us what you promised or make a public announcement that Homekit will never happen.

ParticipantYou are beating a dead horse. They will never actually do it, but at this point are pretending they never claimed they would. Just by something from Eve. Mine works great.
