Community Home › Community › B-Hyve Indoor/Outdoor Timer › B-Hyve Indoor/Outdoor Timer will not restart after temp power failure
Installed B-Hyve Indoor/Outdoor Timer 6 weeks ago and was pleased with initial function and install. Went on vacation for three weeks, and after 4th day away, I was no longer able to connect to timer by app.Neighbor and my house monitoring computer say that there was temp power outage that day that occurred several hours before when I could not longer connect to the timer by the app. Got home and timer was nonfunctional, no information on screen and powering off and then on with surge protector, the timer still was nonfunctional, only with powering off for 10 seconds then back on did the timer restart with restoration of screen information and now the app reconnects. This problem is worrisome since we lost grass and plantings due to lack of watering for three weeks. I do not know if i have defective unit or this behavior is present in all units. The timer was on a surge protector not just plugged directly into outlet.
Hello Lesage, I was just wondering if you’ve pulled the tag from battery slot. If so screen should not have gone blank. Could you please provide us with your mac address as well to take a look at your timer? Thank you.
tag from battery had been pulled, so the backup battery was working, I asked that the firmware be updated today and it was . Here is the device info:
MAC Address: 44:67:55:02:d3:1e
Firmware Version: 0023
Hardware Version: WT25G2-0001
Wi-Fi Version: 0
