    Hello

What is the best way to set-up the b-hyve smart hose faucet timer to be used with drip systems?

I plan on replacing my Edyn smart watering system with the B-hyve solution for this years growing season.

My guess is that you would just hook it up like any other hose-end timer. You’ll still need everything else for a drip system except the hose end timer. Don’t forget the filter so the little drip holes don’t get clogged, and the pressure regulator so your system does not blow apart. Those would go on AFTER any hose end timer.

I have drip irrigation and that’s what I intend to do with some B-hyve faucet timers, just replace my existing timers.

Why wouldn’t you put the pressure regulator on BEFORE the timer? The timer shows how many gallons per minute are going through the device, but that’s not an accurate representation of what’s going into the system if the pressure regulator is AFTER the timer. Is there a reason why it only goes on AFTER the timer?

Great questions! You can do it either way, but for the flow meter on the timer, you would want the pressure regulator before the timer.

Are there plans to have the app be more drip irrigation friendly? Currently the app assumes I’m only trying to water grass. At first glance the only thing I can set this for is grass with sprinkler heads. It would be great if the smart watering could also be calibrated for drip irrigation.

On one hose I plan on watering 5 different potted plants, on another, I’m planning on watering a raised bed garden.
