ParticipantMy sprinkler controller works some days and other days not. Recently firmware upgraded and that improved performance. When the controller doesn’t respond to the iPhone app…the only solution that I have found is to walk to the controller and pull the ribbon cable and reinsert it.
I don’t run schedules because it is not reliable, but instead manually water my lawn.
Do I have a defective unit or need a part replacement?
Thanks!

Please post your timer’s MAC Address so we can review the settings and firmware version.
The MAC Address can be found on the inside of the swing panel or in the App under Device Details.
Thank you!

Your timer was on v32 which is the latest official release but we now have v33 which has improved reconnect logic, which I believe will help with your timer’s availability issues.
If you’re willing, it would be great to setup a limited program, maybe one zone set to run one day (maybe two days) and one time per day and watch it for a couple of weeks to see if you feel the stability is there for you.
Let us know how things go.
Thank you!

ParticipantYou updated my firmware a few days ago and that did not fix things. The controller shuts off maybe every other day and does not water anything. It goes into the blinking mode. I have to unplug and plug in the ribbon cable and that usually fixes things, but now it just goes back to blinking. Is there anything I can do? Can we get a replacement? Thanks.
Here is my current info:

ParticipantMy controller is still not working as expected. I tried setting a limited program and watch it daily. If I beat the program and unplug/replug the ribbon cable, it will work. If I miss the event and try to manually water, I have to unplug/replug the ribbon cable. I’ve replaced the battery and changed electrical outlets. Nothing seems to help, but manually unplugging/replugging the ribbon cable before operating the system. How can I get a replacement unit or part for repair? Thanks!

Sorry to hear it, to start a support ticket and begin the warranty process you can either call or email tech support at [email protected] or call 1-800-488-6156.
If you email describe as thoroughly as possible and maybe even include a link back to this forum for reference to help give them context.
Keep us posted here how things work out.
Thank you!
