Tagged: disable pump by zone
Two of the six zones I am programming are drip circuits for flower beds that use city water pressure although the other four zones are sprinkler heads watering large lawn areas that are fed by a 2HP pump pulling water out of a lake. I don’t seem to be able to program the flowerbed zones to run without energizing the pump relay. The Rainbird timer that the Bhyve replaced had the capability to enable the pump relay for individual zones. I would think running the pump with no open connected valves would create a lot of back pressure on the pump and possibly overheat and damage it or create a leak somewhere, probably underground in an inconvenient place to patch it. Am I missing a setting to individually enable/disable the pump per zone, or is this a design fail or oversight? I sure hope not that latter as it will make the Bhyve unusable for me.
