Community Home › Community › B-Hyve Indoor/Outdoor Timer › Confirming terminal strip wiring and question about 24V AC terminals
The labels on my terminal strip do not line up with the terminals, so I wanted to confirm the wiring of the first few locations:
1: 24V AC out
2: 24V AC out
3: sensor
4: sensor
5: common
6: pump
7+: valves
Under what circumstances would I use the “24V AC out”? I have a system with a master valve which I have tied to the “pump” terminal. I accidentally had it on one of the “24V AC out” locations first and it did not work.
Thanks!
Exact. The last terminal (after the zone valves) is a second COM connection.
Not sure what the 24VAC out could be used for. Not using it.
There should be a jumper wire between the two sensor terminals.
Hello mooch91, you use the 24VAC out terminals for a rain sensor along with the sensor terminals.
Thanks, I saw that the Orbit wireless rain sensor connects in to the 24V AC.
Do you have a list of other compatible rain sensors, wired and wireless, that work with the B-hyve controllers?
