ParticipantI’ve had this system for a few days now. Bridge plus 3 timers. The first 2 days, it worked like a dream. After that, nothing works anymore. It appears to all be connected, but whenever I want to manually start a timer it says “Device is taking too long to respond”.
This is the case with all 3 of my timers.
I have a $1500 whole home mesh WIFI that reaches down the block. Any idea what could be causing this?

ParticipantHello supamix, if you could give me the mac address for one of your devices then I can take a look and see what’s going on.

ParticipantI have the same problem. Started today. All devices say they are connected to the network but they cannot be controlled via the network. I did get sporadic connection to two timers though but that’s now gone.
It was fine for the past week since I installed. There was an App update today. Coincidence?
I deregistered one timer but can’t get it to reconnect even via Bluetooth, despite phone and timer being in pairing mode. It doesn’t see the network either. Rebooted hub and router.

ParticipantI am experiencing the same issues. Worked like a dream for a couple of days, but now I am having all kinds of problems. I have 3 hubs, and 3 timers connected to each of them. My problems are:
1. Lost a hub. Hub keeps blinking blue and when I try to addd it as a device through the app, it can’t be found. MAC address is 44 67 55 20 58 7D. I moved the three timers that were connected to this hub to another hub until I can get this resolved.
2. WiFi??? I have 6 google mesh zones throughout the house so my WiFi is STRONG. . I can’t get my timers to respond from WiFi and Bluetooth connects sometimes which is so frustrating. I have put the password for WiFi in each hub in the settings, but feel like I need to keep updating it. Shouldn’t the password save? I feel like with my strong WiFi, I shouldn’t have to even touch Bluetooth. Please help me resolve this issue as I love the product and have spent so much time this week trying to resolve. My 3 hubs are:

44:67:55:20:58:7D (not working) flashing blue dot when plugged in.

ParticipantSame problem. “Later”, not sure how much actually, I typically get a “finished watering” message. I can’t tell if it’s actually running a water cycle though, cause I’m not at the garden any longer by then to see it. For sure, the unit hooked to a standard garden hose never comes on, I never accomplish the manual water, and I walk away to get buckets.
If Orbit can’t fix this then these faucet units are of limited value.

ParticipantHello everyone, Go ahead and try connecting via Bluetooth, and then disconnect the Bluetooth. You’ll want to make sure that your hub is connected. This could take multiple try’s so just keep trying. You could also try pulling out the battery pack and putting it back in. If you still wont work try deauthorizing your timer and re-pair it. If it won’t connect after that then just let me know.

ParticipantThanks for replying Ryan. My main issue is with one of my 3 hubs. It just keeps blinking blue and my phone does not see it when I try to install. I did de authorize it and now I can’t reconnect. Thanks.

ParticipantHello waterman, I’ve sent you an email concerning that hub that will not pair.

ParticipantHi Ryan,
I have tried all these things and it still says device is taking too long to respond
MAC: 44:67:55:10:8D:6D
MAC: 44:67:55:30:51:EF
Thanks.Spread the love!May 25, 2018 at 6:10 pm #2241Ryan
ParticipantHello Katew your hub is not connected to internet right now so I cannot give it a firmware update. You wont be able to control your timer with your phone till you update your Wi-Fi settings.

ParticipantHi Ryan!
I too am frequently receiving the “Device Is Taking Too Long To Repond” error message after starting a Manual Watering Cycle. I only use the Manual Watering Function so I can’t say if this error affects programmed cycles or not.
I too have Strong Wi-Fi and the Hub plugged in on the inside wall a few feet away from the hose faucet or as close to the hose faucet timer as possible.
I was away on holidays for 2 weeks loving life thinking I could periodically start a watering cycle and I was able to for 2 days and then I couldn’t start another one for the rest of my trip.
The system worked flawlessly for a couple weeks and now it’s been nothing but issues.
When I came back from holidays I pulled the power on the Wi-Fi Hub, waited a few seconds, plugged it back in, waited 30 seconds and was able to run a manual cycle no problem.
In order to mitigate this issue I have now put a camera on the zone to see if the cycle has “actually” started and I have now plugged to Wi-Fi Hub into a remotely controlled plug-In Power outlet so I can “reboot” to Wi-Fi Hub remotely.
Not an ideal setup though!
