ParticipantI got a new device and it’s saying it’s taking too long to respond. I had it set to run an hour his morning and only ran 5 minutes. I updated my WiFi and keep repotting in my password for the WiFi but it still is saying it’s taking too long to respond. MAC: 44:67:55:10:7D:E2, MAC: 44:67:55:20:53:EB.

Keymaster@ducs_of_hazzard please provide me with the MAC ID of your hub and I can check your system to make sure it is up to date.

ParticipantI just purchased the device and hub and get this same error as well. I can’t get this device to do anything, but it says I am connected. I fear I should have trusted all of the negative reviews on this product rather than hope that I get lucky. Are there any fixes or should I return this device?

ParticipantI went back to try again and it’s saying “couldn’t connect device pairing timed out”. So now it won’t even let me connect to the WiFi? I don’t understand why the cost of this product is 100$ and it doesn’t even work??

ParticipantHello katew, was your new device a new hub? Looking you have 2 and neither of them is connected to internet so your timer isn’t connected either. you will need to connect your hub to your internet. If it is having issues you may need to power cycle your router, check you settings, and/or the distance of your hub to your router.

ParticipantI have a B-Hyve Hub (BH1-0001) with 4 faucet timers (HT25-0000) and started seeing this problem about a week ago. That is, the faucets do not seem to run per schedule, and when I try to force them to run manually, I get error “Device is taking too long to respond”.
Here are my MACs:
BH1-0001 : 44:67:55:20:27:BE
HT25-0000: 44:67:55:10:62:12
HT25-0000: 44:67:55:10:A8:F4
HT25-0000: 44:67:55:10:A7:DD
HT25-0000: 44:67:55:10:AC:30This is my vacation home and the faucets haven’t been running for a week.
And even when they were running (according to the app, at least), the push notifications to the phone was all over the map. Often I got 3 push notifications with the same timestamp when a faucet run once. It became so annoying that I had to disable notification from this app altogether. And then when it stopped running, I didn’t notice the issue until a week later.

ParticipantI’m updating your firmware, you may want to update the Wi-Fi settings for your hub device. You could also check the connection between your hub and timers. If this doesn’t solve your issue please let us know.

ParticipantThanks Ryan. It seems my 4 faucets have been working correctly since you updated the firmware. That is, they now respond to my manual watering commands, and have watered my lawn at least once per schedule (according to watering history on the app).
The only thing that’s still not working is the app push notification on iOS. I have an iPhone 7 and if I enable notification in the B-Hyve app that setting doesn’t seem to be retained. That is, if I enable push notification, and go back to look at the setting I just made, it is shown as disabled again.
I know that’s a separate issue than this thread is about, but if you can ask your engineers to fix the iOS app bug that’ll be great.

ParticipantMy newly installed hub and timer was working for the past 2 days but today, I can no longer control my timer. The programs are not running. I tried to reset both the timer and hub through the app but the same message I’m getting ‘Device is taking too long to respond’ when I try to manually water.
MAC IDs:
Timer: 44 67 55 10 85 95
Hub: 44 67 55 20 67 81I also noticed that on the app that the Timer Device Detail that the Active Device button is greyed out.

Participant@hli, I’m glad that your timers are up and functional! as for the app issues, they are currently testing a new versions that should resolve your issues.
@backscratcher, It is greyed out because that is the device you’re currently using. I’ve updated the firmware for your hub, which should help with your issue. If it continues connect using Bluetooth. you might get a message that says something about the time being off. If that shows power cycle your timer. You will need to reconnect to the timer via Bluetooth again.
If it still isn’t working set the program through Bluetooth instead of reconnecting to Wi-Fi.Spread the love!April 22, 2019 at 6:35 pm #77197emmastrong
ParticipantHello, I am having the same problem. When I try to start a manual watering session it says device is taking too long to respond. I have tried everything. I have even deleted the device from your server and added it back. According to my router it is connected. The last firmware update was 0020. I have the bhyve indoor timer. Please help.
