ParticipantI have smart water enabled since I have the device installed and all waterings in all zones since then show 4 waterings (one per hour) of less than one minute. All five of my zones are watering like this and that’s all they do.
Is this normal? It very hot and dry here. The grass is still green, but there are a couple spots along the edge of the driveway.
My MAC is 44:67:55:02:FA:9B

ParticipantHello kaylward, I’ve checked your timer, and everything seems to be alright. It sounds like you will need to make some adjustments in your zones smart details page. In a zones smart details page there is a section called watering schedule adjustments. Here you will be able to adjust your runtime, and how often each zone waters. If you have any questions on how to set these adjustments just let me know, and I’d be happy to help. Once you’ve set the adjustments it will take a little white to process your new schedule (by the next day at the latest). Also you may want to do this a few times until you find a watering schedule you like for smart watering to use as a template.

ParticipantThis problem is also occurring with scheduled watering. I totally turned off Smart Watering and setup a scheduled program for my 5 zones. Each zone has 10+ minutes of run time scheduled. Again each station shows less than one minute in the watering history and it looks like watering isn’t happening.
If I run a zone in Manual mode (within the zone page in the app) everything works fine – the zone waters for as long as I set the manual run time. I’m doing it right now so I can see it working.
It looks like my system has never actually worked… Not happy..

ParticipantI’m able to run any zone for as long as I want using the Remote icon on the front screen of the app.

ParticipantOh, ok. If your showing that it’s watering for less than one min on your scheduled programs as well then it’s an issue with your rain sensor. You will want to go to the actual timer, and check your rain sensor mode. If you don’t have one hooked up then it will need to be turned off. While your timer is set to auto hold down the rain delay button until either sensor off or sensor on appears. If sensor off appears then it was turned on, and was you’ve just turned it off. Once your timer is set to the correct sensor mode it should work just fine. If you need any other assistance, with this issue please just let me know how I can help.

ParticipantThanks. The sensor was ON. It’s now OFF.
I noticed that the installer looped a short black wire between the two rain sensor terminals. Should he have not done that? Should I take it out leaving the two rain sensor terminals empty? I don’t have a rain sensor hooked up any more, but did years ago.
