I exclusively use rechargeable batteries, which are 1.2V. I would not ever but non-rechargeable AA or AAA batteries for environmental sustainability reasons.

The bhyve faucet controllers report lower than 100% battery capacity when using rechargeable batteries, which is typical for devices designed with electrical hardware requiring 1.5V batteries.

Can I please suggest, that future bhyve products taking AA batteries, including the small amount of extra circuitry to make full use of the capacity of rechargeable batteries, at 1.2V. Other devices such as torches employ such voltage regulators.

I feel that this is important for sustainability of the planet and of mutual benefit to end-users and Orbit’s footprint alike.
