In the B-Hyve APP, the weather station doesn’t seem to reflect the temperature thats outside. For what ever reason this occurs, so I’ve tried other weather stations including personal weather stations. There also seems to be a considerable delay if and when the weather information gets updated. The only weather station that seems to be any good is about 30Km away at our international airport. For example, currently the app shows temperature as 9 DEG-C when at the airport it’s 11 DEG-C via the AERIS Weather web site. So how can smart watering be accurate to any degree?
We’re in Perth Western Australia. It’s winter here at the moment, but in summer I don’t think I could trust the controller to manage my watering.
horlat, i’m sorry you feel that way. If none of the stations near you seem to be accurate enough you could try purchasing your own. Or you could just try using a general programming if you’re concerned that smart watering will not function properly.
Ryan what weather stations are compatible? How would I set up my own?
@robmehrer, any station that is registered to pwsweather.com is compatible.
Two years later, it seems that only Australian airport weather stations are available to B-Hyve users. The official government weather stations from the Australian Bureau of Meteorology are still not supported. Living in Adelaide, the Adelaide West Tce weather station, for example, is not available in B-Hyve, but is available in most smart sprinkler systems on the market.
