ParticipantHello,
I received my unit this week and got it setup and running like a champ. However, when I visit the app a day later, it tells me on the app home that there is no watering scheduled because “The device is current set to OFF”. Because of this, I go to the device settings, and can indeed see the device is set to off.
This is a problem, because I never turned it OFF. I set it to AUTO, but it changed without me setting anything overnight.
Regardless, I decided to re-enable the device, and put it back in AUTO mode. I save the changes, and leave then re-visit the menu to confirm the changes. When re-visiting the menu even 1 second later, it has already switched back to OFF mode (again without me wanting that).
How do I get my device to run in AUTO mode and not sit in OFF all year?
NOTE: When this happened the first time, I reset my devices and reconfigured everything. The same thing happened again, so there is consistency in this problem.

KeymasterThanks for posting SPORTMAN1280! Hmmm this isn’t an issue we’ve seen before, we would love to take a look at your timer for you and figure out what’s going on. What’s your MAC ID?

ParticipantHello,
I’m having issues with 44:67:55:10:3A:B0 and 44:67:55:10:51:47. Both of them are acting up.

ParticipantI am also having issues with all three of my faucet timers staying in the “Off” position. My setup is the WiFi hub controlling three faucet timers. All three timers stay in the off position. When I turn them to auto, they change back to off. They are all set to Smart Watering (Which I am still unsure if it works).
Mac ID:
44:67:55:10:2B:4E
44:67:55:10:19:33
44:67:55:10:21:3CCan someone please look and tell me if something is wrong? I have setup these timers several times, thinking I have done something wrong.

ParticipantI heard from support today that this is now a known issue, and that a firmware update is coming soon to resolve the issue.

ParticipantI have two units and I am having the same problem. No matter how many times I change it back to auto, it goes right back into the off position. When will this problem be fixed.

ParticipantI am also having this problem. What is the status of resolving? These devices are seeming to be more trouble than they are worth and the lack of customer support is frustrating.

KeymasterThis issue was resolved with a firmware update quite a while ago, please provide me with the MAC address of your hubs and I can get those updated.

ParticipantI’m having the same problem but my device was fine for almost two months. Other two, purchased at the same time arediing just fine. Also, while the ones working give the option ‘control this device’ the one that stays OFF and does not want to be in AUTO says ‘connect Bluetooth’. Tried resetting the server to no avail, what should I do?

ParticipantYo may need to up date the firmware for that timer. First try connecting it back to your internet though your hub. to re-pair you need to press the button on the timer five times in a row. To update the timer all you need to do is select your device in settings and then scroll down to the bottom and select update firmware.

ParticipantHi Ryan,
Thank you for your reply. I can try that but I’m concerned that the problem might be different as the device did not water at the schedule time. Is there a way to know its status ?

ParticipantHi Ryan,
One thing I noticed is that the Smart watering is ON when I never turned it on. Can you tell me how to turn it off?
Thank you!Spread the love! -
