LOL, I guess someone got the bright idea that it is fun to re-organize the layout now and then to keep us entertained. Kinda like Lowes re-organizing the store so we have to search for items in new and exciting places. Gives us exercise running around the store. This B-hyve reprogramming gives us a mental challenge figuring out where they hid features. To water manually, or just do a test you now need to select Zones, click on the zone you want to test and then at the top of the screen press the little almost hidden “Test” which takes you to a page to “Adjust Run Time”. Pretty lame programming. You would think that some manager should be fired for wasting money on this.
February 18, 2025 at 1:46 pm #83371::By the way, if you do select “Test” and initiate a test by setting the time and then pressing the green check mark the handy graphic screen with the time countdown is no longer shown. Previously you could quickly turn off the zone from that screen, for instance if you notice a geyser in your yard. Now you go back to the previous screen and there is a little “Stop” text at the top of the screen with a timer next to it. Even though it just looks like text it is actually a button that you press to stop the test. I am guessing this code is being outsourced, and these are some extra low cost programmers. Hey Orbit, are you actually watching what these people are doing?
February 18, 2025 at 8:16 pm #83372::I also found this problem with the Manual mode this morning. I have just wasted 3 hours trying to sort it out.
Finally found the answer here, many thanks Joe. The “Water Manually” button is still on the home screen, dose not make sense.
Hopefully someone at Orbit will fix this soon.Thanks again Joe

I have placed a link on my phone to the website, so I can operate the zones manually from there, or via the way that Joe mentioned in the app.
Cheers
RobFebruary 28, 2025 at 9:49 pm #83384::Joe, thank you so much for your post. I tried for a good hour to figure out how to water manually before spending another hour searching the internet. The b-hyve site was useless with no contact info or chat feature so I was very happy to have found your post. I just completed moving the valves on 7 zones and needed to pair up the control wiring to the correct zone. finding your post saved me alot of step going back ane forth to the controller.
Thanks again.March 2, 2025 at 2:37 pm #83385::Thanks Joe. Great detective work.
Hopefully a new version (or the previous version which worked well) will be released quickly that returns the Manual watering function.
Clearly a programmer has made a mistake because the ‘Manual watering’ program now requires it be programmed as a regular program – a contradiction in terms and a lack of understanding of the ‘manual’ function.
The ‘test’ work around is SO inconvenient.March 8, 2025 at 2:51 pm #83396::Thanks, wasted about two hours trying to figure this out. Orbit needs to get it together with the APP.
If you go to home >> water manually >> then, at the top there is a “button” titled PROGRAMS. From there you can also do manual control. What I see on that page looks like this >> Water Manuallyrograms > all run together. This is a function of text size setting in Iphone. You can change Under settings >> display and brightness >> text size. I have my font size set larger on my Iphone, as I am older. This is clearly a lack of foresight in programming the APP. Orbit, fix this. (Version 3.0.44, Build 1300)
Key words: b-hyve, bhyve, orbit, water manually, water manual, won’t work, error, text, manual program.
Good Luck
