My community, like many others with watering restrictions, have specific days and times watering is permitted. In my case, it is odd numbered days. But there is always a rule for odd day watering that months that end in an odd numbered day (29 or 31), that watering is NEVER permitted on that day, since it would result in a 2-day watering event (the 31st and then the 1st). When I set odd days in b-hyve, the calendar shows the 31st as watering days. My old lcd/analog systems knew NOT to water on those days, why doesn’t b-hyve? If anything, it should be a standard to not water or allow a setting when ODD DAYS is selected to “include last odd day?” On/off switch setting.

Or does the b-hyve know better, but the calendar display doesn’t? So far my 31st watering has not occurred due to rain in forecast, but I don’t want to ever water in the 31st, so as to avoid a local fine.

    Thanks

@sgavarone Our timer used to work the same way, until we got an overwhelming amount of requests for it to water on both days. To prevent it from running on the 31st, you’ll just need to set a rain delay on the 30th and it will prevent the timer from running.

So I need to convince all my neighbors to get a b-hyve so we can create an overwhelming request to add an on/off setting to include last odd days?? 😉
I think it would be fairly easy to automate that with a value the user can set than then manual remembering to Override on the 30th of the affected months. Seriously, i’d Like to see it added as an enhancement request. You should be as good as, if not better than, the old manual models, in my opinion.

Good luck with your enhancement request. While I don’t need the feature it makes perfect sense that a smart watering app should be able to handle such a request. However, just read the posts on here from people that have been using it a while. Lots of issues and lots of things that just simply aren’t well thought out.

I submitted an enhancement concerning start / end times for smart watering and the impression I got was, “That’s not how the app works and we aren’t interested in making it more user friendly and flexible for more people.”
