I’ve been chasing this one for a while. I have a fairly old sprinkler system that has been upgraded at various times of the years, but still has some older valves, etc. Last year I upgraded to the Bhyve smart controller and absolutely love it. However; I have never been able to get it to work on one of my zones. I get an error message and can’t seem to get around it. The old (crappy) Toro timer controls this zone without any issue, but the Bhyve refuses.
Reading other posts and looking online – speculation seems to be that the solenoid may be drawing too much juice and making the Bhyve believe it’s shorted or no good? The Toro probably isn’t as ‘smart’ in this regard and just plows through it…
Open to suggestions and ideas here – hoping not to have to dig up a 30 year old beautiful rhododendron in order to replace the old sprinkler valve in question here…
Thanks for any help.
