The XD timer doesn’t come with a tap fitting. Australian standard fittings won’t connect to the timer. Apparently, the fitting required needs to be 3/4″ Female Hose Thread, but when I purchased one of these, they don’t fit. Does anyone know what fitting go with the timer

I found a solution. The issue is the thread pitch doesn’t accommodate Australian standards

Australian Thread pitch is 14 threads per inch, whereas the timer requires 11.5 threads per inch
Both Australian and USA have a 3/4″ thread size

    To clarify
    The timer needs American Standard

    Tap (Faucet) Threads:
Size: 3/4 inch GHT (commonly referred to as “garden hose thread”).
Thread Pitch: 11.5 threads per inch (TPI).

    Hose Threads:
These are straight (not tapered) threads, meaning they require a washer to create a watertight seal.

Orbit support should have this information with the device, so that customers, don’t have to search high and low to get it.

So, if you have this problem source fittings that are 3/4″ GHT and doubly check that the thread pitch is 11.5 per inch.

Thanks for the update, I noticed one of the other Orbit devices had a slightly different thread but hadn’t figured out what the solution is!
