Community Home › Community › B-Hyve Indoor/Outdoor Timer › Received email saying "Your Device is Disconnected"
I received this email while out of town. When I returned home, my controller had a blinking ! next to the WiFi ICON. The online manual says this means I am not connected to the B-hyve servers. OK. I have 4 bars of WiFi, so it’s not my WiFi. Nowhere does it say how to reset the connection! The email simply says to check the power and the WiFi.
After waiting on hold with technical support for almost an hour, I searched the forums and found somebody with a similar problem. The solution was to upgrade the firmware in the controller and unplug/replug the controller. I unplugged the controller and plugged it back in and everything seems fine – for now.
How can I upgrade the firmware or even check to see if I have the latest firmware?
Perhaps you should change your system generated email to tell people to unplug and re-plug their controller?
I have been having this problem for the past week – device is either offline or times out when I set a manual zone.
Already tried replacing battery, power cycling device, resetting wi fi, reactivating device… no luck.
Been on hold over the phone for over 40 minutes and on “live chat” for approximately 1 hr waiting for representative. Very disappointed with customer support.
message from rep – finally connected on live chat:
“The last time the servers were down was yesterday morning. Once they cam back up your timer should have connected back the the server. However, your timer did not. ”
“correct, my timer did not reconnect.”
“So we need to re-connect it. To pair your timer turn your dial to “OFF”, then push the dial in. Next push the reset button on the back of the faceplate of the timer.”
