I am changing sprinkler heads and layout, but I find that I am unable to edit smart details/advanced details application rate and efficiency. It looks like editing doesn’t work. What is the correct procedure for editing these parameters? Also, is there a detailed explanation for the smart watering theory of operation? I’d like to understand each of the parameters and their impact. I find that the the smart algorithm consistently over waters and I have been able to provide correction by tweaking the smart advanced parameters. Unfortunately, editing those parameters seems to have become unresponsive. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks, Joe.

@jvalvano – I really hope that you get some kind of response from an official Orbit moderator or technical facing Orbit Employee.

I have two of the b-hyve 4 station controllers and I was not able to manage both of them using the ‘default’ web based application. Eventually an Orbit employee gave me a link and an account on the Orbit technical support page which allowed me to manage both devices from a browser.

But it took a *bunch* of back and forth before it happened.

@cspacone, thanks for the input. I haven’t heard anything from Orbit yet. I found a lot of information in the app ‘help’ section. I was originally using a browser and the my.orbitbhyve.com page. It’s odd how the app and the web page are different: it looks like there are more features on the app. I’ve been trying to edit the ‘advanced details’ for the smart watering, but the values I entered wouldn’t stay. They kept reverting to the previous values. I stopped using Smart Watering for a while, reverted to manual settings, and now I find I can edit the smart parameters that were stuck previously. I don’t know what to make of it. Maybe the software is buggy? Do you know where the Smart algorithm resides? In the controller, or in the cloud somewhere?

Anyway, thanks for your help. Any input from the Community and/or Orbit is appreciated.

    – Joe.
