Been playing with smart watering for a couple of months now and find after a fair bit of app tweaking and monitoring dashboard data it works well. However one thing that I haven’t been able to sort out are garden beds with a tree canopy. Smart Watering uses the weather station data to calculate how much water an area receives and this is great for open areas. If you have a number of consecutive days with light rainfall Smart Watering determines that all this was available. However with any sort of canopy above the garden a light rain will not penetrate. The garden remains dry even after a few data of light rain. Perhaps a user input to ignore light rainfall in specified zones might help?
Overall very happy so far.
