I went to change my soil type from ‘sandy loam’ to ‘sandy’ on all my zones to see what effect it would have on smart watering schedule. Only 2 of the 5 zones took the change, . . . both are ‘spray’ head type and the ones that did not take the change are ‘rotor’ head type.
Experimenting a bit, I went ahead changed the head type on one of the rotor zones to ‘spray’, and then changed the soil type to ‘sandy’ and the change took. Leaving the soil change in place, I then went to change the head type back to ‘rotor’ and a error message was quickly displayed (too fast to read), and the change did not take place. In the end, I had to leave those ‘rotor’ zones as ‘sandy loam’ for now.
Looks like a bug in that one can not program ‘sandy’ soil type with a ‘rotor’ head type zone. Just wanted to pass along.
Thank you for the feedback i’ll make sure to pass it along.
