My house is currently with WiFi for about a month and I’m trying to update my smart watering. Am I able to connect the device to my personal hotspot and update the smart watering? It’s currently not watering enough and I need to update the smart watering or set up manual programs.
jdavin, Is your house without Wi-Fi for a month? If so you will want to use a custom program, or manual watering’s during that time. Smart watering will not work, unless your timer is connected to your network.
Most personal hotspots will not connect well with our bhyve timer. However you could try using your hotspot, but your timer would need to be constantly connected for smart watering to run/function properly. So it would always need to be within range (about 30ft). Also using your phone as a hotspot, and controlling it from the same phone could cause to be difficult as well.
Ryan,
Thanks for the response. Yes, I’m without WiFi for a month, so it looks like I’ll be setting up a couple programs. Appreciate your time.
