I bought the b-hyve 57946 and installed it and the timer works fine, but the wifi part isn’t working. I power it on and never get a wifi icon on the timer, just the bluetooth icon and kind of a wifi looking icon on it’s side to the right of the bluetooth icon. It looks like ) and changes size. I tried resetting it a few times and the same thing happens. And the orbit network doesn’t show up on my phone in the list of networks. My signal to my home network at the location is great on my phone. It’s probably only about 15 ft from the router.
Maybe I’ll reset it and record a video?

Also what is the battery icon supposed to be if it’s hard wired in? Mine is showing the icon with nothing inside. like it’s empty but I just pulled the tab out of the battery like an hour ago.

    Thanks

@JasonSD, when you’re setting up your timer for initial set up or updating the Wi-Fi settings your timer needs to be in pairing mode. turning it to off and then pushing the reset button once. If you can’t get it to connect or find your device try doing a factory reset and power cycling your timer. If the issue continues please call our product support line.

The battery symbol is the same regardless if it’s hard wired or not. Try removing the battery and then putting it back in.

I called the support line and was on hold for awhile and then got disconnected. So I sent an email and also posted on here.

I fixed the battery icon. When I took the tab out I guess it tore so there was still a piece covering the battery. I took that out and the icon went away.

I made a video I’m uploading now. I tried pair mode, reset, and turning off power. I never get the wifi icon. The video shows the pair mode and the reset, but not the power cycle but the same thing happens.

So this timer hasn’t been connected to your phone yet, and when you try pairing it cannot find your device correct?
If it is linked to your account have you tried updating the Wi-Fi settings?

Yeah it hasnt been connweted to my phone get. It doesnt create a network. It doesnt pop up on the app and it doesnt show up in my list of networks. The app gets to the screen where its supposed to show the orbit network and nothing comes up. I think its because the timer isnt broadcasting. I never get that Wi-Fi icon.

My Device Flashes the WiFi icon as one instead of staggered. I’ve unplugged it multiple times and put it in paring mode but the WiFi icon never changes. It doesn’t show up in the list of WiFi networks at all. I’ve reset the app several times and nothing ever changes. I don’t think its actually broadcasting the network. I have tried unplugging the ribbon cable but that still doesn’t change it. All other functions for turning on sprinklers manually seem to be working fine.

If it is not finding the device I have a few suggestions. First factory reset your timer so put it in off mode and hold down the reset button until the whole display appease and it reverts back to auto mode. After that power cycle your timer (just unplug it). While it is unplugged open up your timer and unplug the grey ribbon cable connecting your display panel and timer. It unplugs at the right end that is just above where your wires are inserted. Let it sit for about 5 seconds plug it back in and then plug your timer back in as well. Put your timer into pairing mode and add the device to your account. If you still cannot locate the device after that please contact us either by phone, or email us at [email protected]

I got an email from Stephen from Support and I sent him my MAC address and I don’t know if he reset something or what but I tried connecting again and this time it worked. So everything appears to be working at the moment.

    Thanks.

So my first b-hyve timer did the flash no work thing after 2 years. I bought a second one, came today. Must be newer model, because the connector for the ribbon cable is smaller.

Either way.. this brand new unit will not broadcast network. Tried all suggestions… was anyone able to fix this?

Otherwise, time to return unit and get with competitor.
