I installed my unit about 10 days. I immediately ran my three zones for one minute each and everything worked perfectly. But last Saturday I needed to water Zone #1. Using the manual run function, I programmed it to run for 10 minutes. It started up and ran fine but would not shut off. I waited for several minutes before trying to shut it off within the app. No matter what I tried though, it still ran. Finally I had to shut off the physical valve.
Then I manually ran zone #1 yesterday to test again. I set it for 1 minute. This time it did turn off, but it ran for close to 10 minutes.
I also ran zones #2 and #3. I entered 5 minutes for these run times but the app switched my run time to about 3 minutes and 45 seconds. Weird.
I’ve also noticed this other times when running the system manually. ie: I program a run time and the app changes it.
So in less than two weeks I have experienced lots of instability. Frustration too. Any ideas what I can do to get this thing running reliably?
Thanks
Ran zone 1 manually again today and it did not shut off. Set it for a 10-minute run time. It was still running after 40 minutes. Had to go to the box and turn it off. Anybody got any ideas??
@BrotherHarmonius It sounds like it may be an issue with the valves, but it is possible that the timer is keeping these valves open. I would recommend trying to run Station 1 again for 1-2 minutes. If the valve does not shut off after the time runs out on the timer, remove the wire from station 1 in your timer. If the water continues to run, then the issue is with the valve and not the timer (because the valve is no longer getting power from the timer, so the solenoid should shut off).
If it does shut off, please reach out to our support team at [email protected] and let them know of this forum post and what troubleshooting I’ve asked you to do.
