    I never see something so complicated to program, I have one WiFi hub controller and two faucets devices, I’m trying to run one from 22:00 to 22:30 and the other one from 23:00 to 23:45, there is no way or the first one works and the other one not and viceversa

    I have two faucet controls and one hub, and I’d like to run them separately with smart watering from two different zones, but the app won’t let me add a second zone, only delete the one that’s there. I’m going to open another thread

    Each hose faucet timer is only one zone, since it only have one line coming off of it. They will need to be programmed and set up individually.

    The only way I managed to get this to work was to go into settings, select the other valve control, and start programming the second valve from there. This is a very awkward way to do things. Ideally you should be able to create two zones, select the valve controller for each zone, and either create a program for each zone or select smart watering.

    So you can’t have two zones in one program? I have two valves and one hub. I need them to smart water but not at the same time. I can’t figure this out. I get selecting the valve at the top but I should be able to program them together like you can zones/stations on a traditional sprinkler timer.

    , I’m not sure what you mean, but None of our other timers program together. each device/unit still needs to be set and programmed individually. Even if you hade 2 zones under smart watering (for example like when using underground sprinkler timers) It doesn’t guarantee that they will both run with the same schedule. If you wanted this i’d suggest using a custom program.

    , if you don’t want to have to go into settings to change you active device every time, you can click on the bhyve logo at the top of the home page and a drop bar will appear with all of your timer devices.

    Thanks Ryan. I understand that one timer is one zone. That makes sense to me. But, I should be able to coordinate my zones (valves) much like you can with a traditional sprinkler timer.

    Right now you setup a hose timer in the app as you would setup your traditional b-hyve timer which controls 6-12 zones. I want each hose timer to be one zone but also want to have a master program to coordinate those zones much like the traditional timer coordinates zones. That way I can tell it to run zone 2 after zone 1 runs.

    The hose timers are considered ‘expandable’ by Orbit simply because the hub can handle more than one. I assumed they’d also be integrated so I could control them together as one system. But I can’t because of how the app is developed. There is no master program where I can start Zone 1 (valve one) and Zone 2 (valve two). You’re trying to force the valve in as a timer but you’re losing functionality this way. There should be a master program (maybe it lives in the hub object) that allows us to make one program that starts off different valves (each as zones) as the program runs one at a time. There’s no technical reason you can’t have this type of coordination besides having to rethink how the valves are handled in the app and some development.

    If you want to encourage people to buy multiple valves (2+ valves cost more than a timer) customers will expect integration and coordination capabilities. Not completely separately operating valves in one app with no method of coordination. Having to switch between timers and create multiple non-coordinating programs is not smart and I’m surprised this wasn’t addressed at product launch.

    I get that it’s easier to make valves equal a single zone timer from a programming perspective but it makes sense to treat them differently for this expanded capability. Both valves opening at the same time for most applications will not be acceptable to the user. I hope you better understand my situation and my expectations. And I hope you can use my criticism of this setup to improve the user Expierence with these valves. Otherwise they’re a great product…but the lack of this functionality is unfortunately a deal beaker for me.

    The traditional timer, and programming method you’re speaking of is for and underground sprinkler timer. The bhyve hose faucet timers work the same as our regular hose faucet timers. The hub only acts as a bridge to help your hose faucet timers connect to your home Wi-Fi network. It does not group them together as one device, but multiple hose faucet timers can use a hub as a bridge.
