    I have two faucet timers, each connected to a hub.

    Every time I open the B-Hyve app, I’m prompted to update their firmware including the instruction to be within bluetooth range. However attempting to do so always fails – I see a “Searching” spinning dial for about 10 seconds, and then I get a message that it has timed out.

    What is the process to do the upgrade when the Faucet timers are connected to hubs instead of directly to my phone? I thought that approving this update should mean that the hub (wifi connected) can perform the update to the faucet timer without my phone needing to do this connection.

    If not, please advise if I need to take some additional steps to get the faucet timer directly connected to the phone for the update to take place.

    Thank you

    Does support monitor these forums, and if not – what is the best way to contact them?

    @ricochet You need to be next to the timer in order to update the timer. The timer needs to connect to the Bluetooth because it will lose it’s current firmware when the update is happening, so you do need to remain near the timer the entire time you are doing the update.

    @Stephen,

    I am having an issue updating my timer. I was next to it outside, brought it inside next to my modem and still nothing. It just says connecting and never connects. I waited 1 hour then couldn’t take it anymore. Can you please update my firmware for me? My MAC ID is 44:67:55:11:32:A9, model # 21005.

    Thanks,
    Tony

    I keep getting a bluetooth error not connected message. I’ve got Alexa and Google Home working fine plus all my headphones. So my complaint is that there’s something not right with the software that it keeps knocking itself offline. I’m not going to run outdoors and reboot my timer every watering. Seriously. There’s nothing wrong with the wifi as I’m streaming podcasts all around the outdoors so it isn’t the brick walls. I’m within 20 feet of a connection for all my orbit stuff sitting here on the couch. Also, the time zone is off. I can start it manually, sometimes after futzing around and have created a test program to just run outside of the time on my daily programs. I need clearer instructions and look forward to getting this working as expected.
