Watering history is not being recorded. Moreover I got one zone recoded today and not others. Programs dont work unless I turn off Smart Watering. Also Smart Watering does not work as no watering is recorded. This is a complete mess!

For now I had to tunr off smart water and get a program going for watering the yard, but no history of it.
BTW, watering history is not logging not even with manual watering going.

    Connectivity works fine.

Smart Watering not working for me either. It ran my 3 zones two days in a row. Right after watering it showed Soil Moisture at 100%, but shortly after it showed Soil Moisture at 0%. Also, history only recorded one of the zones each day. I suspect it would run all of my zones again tomorrow, so I set them up for programmed schedules. Hopefully Orbit gets this corrected soon.

Smart watering stopped scheduling watering sessions for me in Mid-May. I too have switched to manual watering. My “test” waterings are showing up in the history. My % moisture is registering after I run a test watering. Right now, all my zones are showing 0% water except the two I did short tests in. My watering history shows nothing for about 1.5 weeks which may explain why the moisture content of most of my zones is 0%.

My theory is that something has stopped running on Orbot’s cloud service for all of us.

I am having a similar problem. I noticed about a week ago that my watering history was not being recorded properly, and looking back it appears that it has been a problem since I first turned on the system in mid May (after winter shut-down). I run “Smart Watering” exclusively (no programs).

Having said that, the controller appears to be scheduling and watering appropriately using Smart Watering, it’s just that the history is not recording properly. I have five stations and using yesterday as an example, I know all five stations watered yet only station 3 recorded any watering history.

I also manually watered a few stations for a short time to test if that history would be recorded, and it was not.

Ironically, I have a second controller at my vacation home in Arizona that I control through the same app on the same iPhone device. This controller also exclusively uses “Smart Watering” and operates year round. It only has two stations, but the watering history appears to be recording properly, although I am not physically there to validate when actual watering is being done and if all of it is being recorded in the watering history.

I have seen others suggest deleting the app and reinstalling the app as a possible solution, but I was reluctant to take the chance that I would lose access to my watering station info or to my account information, so have not tried anything other than powering the controller down by unplugging it. I suspect this is not an issue one can remedy themselves and instead will require a new app release or Firmware download when available.

I installed this controller a year ago and it worked flawlessly the first year. I installed my second controller (in Arizona) in August 2022 and as mentioned, it appears to still be functioning flawlessly.

I tried all things suggested, reset the device and reinstalling the apps in my ipad and iphone. Nothing was fixed.
My watering history regitered yesterday for 2 zones i watered manually, but definitely an issue on Orbits side

I’m having the same issues with smart watering. I have zones showing just one run time that would typically show four cycles, but I have an excessive runoff, so I know it’s run longer than recorded. Zones show zero moisture after the excessive runoff, so they run the following day unless I manually set the moisture to 100%. This is with all zones. Two of the zones were reset two weeks ago due to switching head types, and it worked fine at first. I have access to the Bhyve web portal and have tried resyncing and refreshing smart watering, and no change.

I’m having the same problem. The history is inconsistent. Sometimes it records one zone, sometimes none. My programs run at night so I need to know if they run correctly. I tried to run the irrigation program and the app didn’t register the watering event even when I saw it running. I have just realized of this issue since May 25th when I used for the first time in the year.
This issue is really frustrating. The smart watering feature is completely useless now.

Exactly the same issue here – I’ve tried calling orbit support and they tell me the same thing; “Have you tried a reset”? Of course I have, a dozen times. I had one agent tell me they are aware of the problem and working on a resolution. Still no ETA. For now, smart watering is useless since without the history, it just seems to keep watering more and more.

Side note. All my bhyve hose taps are working fine. I have 5 in yard and all record and water fine. Only my in ground is not working correctly.

Looking at the calendar it looks like things went sideways somewhere around May 22nd-23rd.

Hey devs could we get some input here? Would be nice to hear something from the owners of the product.

Also it looks to be smart history only. Programs I’ve built record fine.

I am seeing the issue where the Smart Watering history is not being recorded. I also see where the manual watering is not being recorded. It seems to be intermittent what gets recorded. This is causing overwatering and I have a swamp for a yard. I spoke in chat with a someone from Orbit and they told me they are aware of an issue with no information on when this will be fixed.

Orbit, What is the estimated time to get this issue fixed?

I’m in the same boat with you guys on a 3-day old unit. Only recorded history for Zone 4 yesterday. Only recorded history for my tests on installation day. Switched to manual for tomorrow to see if it records that history. Mostly commenting here so I can get email replies in case one of you solves the problem.

Just adding some clarity to my previous post. The only water history I get is if I manually “test’ a zone. That gets logged in the history and has a measurable impact on the App’s display of my soil moisture.

What does not get captured in the watering history for me are: 1.) Smart Watering, 2.) Program Slot schedules. I have not verified whether Smart Watering is taking place or not. I have verified that Program Slot watering does work as scheduled, but it has no impact on the App’s computation of soil moisture content and does not appear in my watering history.

Based on all the information presented above by users, old, new and reset systems, it appears to me that Orbit will have to fix something and one post above indicates they know about it and are working on it. Perhaps there is a “break” in communication or data access with their cloud service provider (AWS, Microsoft, etc.) and the computations are simply not running for all users as they once were.
