My weather forecast in the app and the weather delays are all over the place and incorrect. I’ve set it to the nearest airport and have tried other weather stations in the area.
The calendar in the app will show 0% perception- but still show the weather as rain – which triggers rain delays. And that on 100 degree dry days.
It currently shows rain for the entire week. Which is wrong. There may be a shower tomorrow. Otherwise hot and humid here in South Georgia and no rain.
At other times the sprinklers went off happily during heavy rain storms…
Called customer service and they told me to delete and reinstall. I reluctantly did that – which of course didn’t solve the problem.August 10, 2024 at 7:00 pm #82567August 10, 2024 at 7:06 pm #82568August 10, 2024 at 7:08 pm #82569::“Not perfected” is an understatement. I see two main problems: the weather it shows and forecasts is completely wrong; almost as if it’s pulling from somewhere else.
And the weather for the day doesn’t even make sense. For today it shows: raining, zero in precipitation, 0% chance of rain. But it has the rain symbol next to it. Bonkers.Attachments:

The situation in my subdivision is that my water is metered with a monthly maximum which, when violated the second time results in a $1000 fine because we’re at the headwaters of the Missouri River, and this comes with environmental concerns and regulations. There are times when I want to soak the lawn in advance of a dry spell and remain usage-compliant the following month. Likewise, the rain delay was turned on by dumb watering, not smart watering, when snow was in the forecast. Well, I knew the spray coming out of the system would be above freezing because of the ground temperature, and I knew that the snow would be followed by a long dry spell. The constant overriding my express will by the dumb watering rain delay and software updates which override my settings is aggravating to say the least. This is all because of very bad software, I know, because I have had a long career in software engineering and I know crap when I see it. I installed the entire sprinkler system myself and it works great when I am in control. I am planning a move to another house in the same county and I will not be getting Orbit. Yours truly, frustrated and annoyed.
August 25, 2024 at 7:40 am #82739::Me, too. My android app’s Calendar displays different information than the dashboard for the airport weather station near my home.
B-hyve mobile app reports for today: Rainy; 84% Humidity; 16.1 kph Wind; 0.00 cm Precipitation
The weather station dashboard says: Mostly Sunny; 62% Humidity; 3.2 kph Wind; .33 Precipitation.
Is there any explanation why the app is displaying different data than the weather station it is connected with? Also, the weather history for my area shows rain fell four out of the past five days, including 0.41 cm yesterday. Despite the app’s calendar showing a “Rainy cloud” icon for each of the past days, it also shows 0.00 cm Precipitation for each of those days! This is whacky. The ground is soaked, and the app plans to water tomorrow morning, it says. I know I can manually adjust the Soil Moisture level, but then what’s the point of the smart watering program if it is so unreliable?
Is this a software bug, or something? I’ve only purchased the model WT25E device 7 days ago, I’ve updated the firmware and I’m installed the newest mobile android app. I’ve called the Orbit B-hyve service desk and been told to reinstall the software, reconfirm the correct weather station. No helpful result, unfortunately.
