I have been using the smart WiFi Orbit Timer for years. This spring I couldn’t connect to my WiFi network. After many hours I discovered that you need to delete the timer in your phone app and then reset it up. When you scan for your networks make sure you push arrow down showing all your networks. Find the 2.4 G network connected directly to the router and not a mesh or extended network. Follow the instructions to save. This is something worth trying especially if you have tried everything.

Once I have mine set up, I never touch the timer itself again. I control everything from the app. If I remember correctly, the one time I tried to program from the the controller, everything screwed up. Lesson learned. So for me, I only set up my Wi-Fi with the controller. Then do all the programming with the app. It’s worked for years that way. Even works with Alexa

This is the first time I have had to do anything except turn the controller on, thru the app in the spring. The app showed the controller was offline. Hope this helps.
