I have the indoor 8 zone unit. Zones 5-8 work correctly when testing. By that I mean I can turn on and turn off any single zone in 5-8 from the app.
It’s with Zones 1-4 i have a problem. When i turn on any of those zones individually, all 4 zones (1-4) turn on. I removed the wiring at the controller output terminal 1-4 to eliminate any possible wiring short and took measurements. The DVM shows 24VAC on each of the 4 outputs when any single output is turned on.
I decided to try a hard reset before returning to home depot. Now i have a flashing P on the unit, with no indication what this means. This has not been a good experience.
Hello @Sluggo, when you tested the voltage output of the timer unit, were you testing it with the wires and solenoids attached to the timer? The timer has a new fault detection system in it that will constantly send the 24 volts to each terminal that doesn’t have a load on it. Once you attach a solenoid, it should read around 0. Please contact us at [email protected] and we’d be happy to assist you with this.
