I was at my local Home Depot this past weekend. I see the Orbit fraudulent signs are still up. I again pointed it out to the store manager that they are perpetuating consumer fraud. The difference between Orbit and Ring is that Ring didn’t actually put up signs making a fraudulent claim. They simply stated “coming soon” rather than put up signage across the nation.
Orbit could have fixed this by simply sending out blank white stickers to cover the fraudulent claim.
Seems to me Orbit simply doesn’t care how many people are duped into purchasing a device based on their fraudulent signage. They are more interested in the purchase.

Might want to inform your legal department that the excrement is about to hit the proverbial fan.Spread the love!
Please tell me how long before consumer fraud is a problem for you. Your opinion matters. It does to you.
Seems other products aren’t having the same “pain in the ass” problem.
This isn’t about Apple. It is about fraudulently using the HomeKit logo on signage to sell a product that knowingly isn’t HomeKit certified.
The signage has been up for several months. Even after the complaints started rolling in the stores have not been instructed to remove the sign. This isn’t a shiny new issue. This is months of consumer fraud.
Sure, they replaced my ABC unit with an ABCD unit. That was actually last month. Still not HomeKit certified.

Starting to believe that the only relief for a HomeKit user who has been defrauded will be relief provided thru class action.
Another month, another promise of “soon”. The signage fraud continues. In 30 days I’m seeking legal assistance to stop this blatant consumer fraud.
I wonder what Apple’s take will be?
I wonder what Home Depot is gonna think about them being used in this fraud.Spread the love!

My Home Depot must be one of the unlucky ones as the timer I just bought yesterday is ABC.
Knowing there is a firmware update coming (for ABCD units only from what I am reading) that means that Orbit is falsely claiming compatibility with their in store signage.
So I am still stuck with a unit that was purchased based on a lie from Orbit.
I am expecting Orbit to fix this for me. I have already notified Home Depot that they are perpetuating a lie.Spread the love!
I just bought this thing (Model 57946). There is a big sign at Home Depot that says it works with HomeKit. It doesn’t. It never has. It never will. I just wasted 2 hours on an Orbit lie being told at Home Depot. It is nothing short of a scam. So how are you going to fix the fact that you are knowingly falsely claiming compatibility? What do I do here? Knowing that your advertising is lying do you plan to make it right by sending me a homeKit compatible unit? Please tell me the plan to fix this lie as right now I am upset enough to call both a lawyer and Home Depot corporate offices.Spread the love!
