Ok, but any of you that have done this know the resistance of the valves you’re using?

It’s a big difference if you parallel 2 x 20 ohm valves vs 2 valves that are 60 ohms each. That being 3x the current draw.

Orbit / B*hyve person monitoring this board: What’s the word on minimum coil resistance and/or output amps rating & overload detection level?

It’s been 3 days since my question about new wifi disconnects / new firmware and I have not received a reply.

The original firmware was 23 and the wifi was disconnected every week, last year in July. Y’all had a new version in August 2018 and that fixed it. I don’t know what version that was. Do you?

It had not disconnected in almost 8 months.

Now it is again disconnecting every 10 days or so. 2 times in the last 2-3 weeks, or so. It now has version 39 firmware in it. Did you push this or is this the one from last August? If it’s not the one loaded from last year, then can you downgrade back?

    Thanks,
    Dave

You updated the firmware 18 days ago and it has been A-OK since. Before the upgrade the WiFi would disconnect every 7-8 days. Just letting y’all know.

Every 7 days (or so) it looses WiFi connection to the router. About a day (?) later we get an email from Orbit saying so. Currently it’s been off-line for almost 48 hours.

The router is fine, Alexa and other Smart Home devices stay connected.

Since we are not there or when someone is there, it’s easier for them to power cycle the router (or have Spectrum do an on-line reset) than to power cycle the b-hyve.

Then the b-hyve is connected for another 7ish days. This scenario has happened 4 times in a row now. It was installed just over 5 weeks ago.

As nothing else in the house looses connection, the signal strength on the b-hyve shows 3of4 (3of5?) bars, we can only conclude it’s a b-hyve problem.
