Can you manage/control the B-Hyve-HD remotely when traveling? Would like to be able to turn on and off zones remotely

Yes. You just won’t be able to tell that anything is ACTUALLY occurring unless you have a separate device (say a cam) pointed at the area being watered or a soil sensor.

(You would have had an earlier reply, but Orbit seems to limit how frequently one can post: “Slow down; you move too fast.” Kinda dumb IMO.)

    1. Just how is this done remotely? Is the app able to find your device via the internet? If so, how does this work? Is an Orbit server in the middle of the communications?

    2. Is it possible to access the device via a PC and web browser, (Edge, Chrome, etc)? User manual says:

“Install the B-hyve™ app on your smart device
You will need a smart device to connect the timer to wifi. After the
timer is paired, you can also use a computer to adjust your timer.”

    But it doesn’t say how?

    3. Where might all of this “remote access” stuff be documented?

    Thanks Much!

Not too sure exactly what you’re asking, But I can tell you how I connected my XDs, which I assume are similar.

Essentially, set up WiFi hub (if using it) and connect to it via Bluetooth. Set your network settings. Ensure your B-hyve account is active and the hub (or similarly any oher device) should show up. Connect and go! See URL in picture below (can’t post links here) for detailed instructions (these are for XD). I had no trouble at all. More issues with the app than the units themselves.
