Hello,
I have a Model 57946.
Probably operator error but setting the daily interval to anything other than 1 day (for example 2, 3, 4 days), makes the rain delay function useless. My expectation would be that a 24 hour rain delay would shift the whole program out by 24 hours. I understand the reason for the below but is there a way, a switch, to allow the whole schedule to shift out by the rain delay of 24 hours, 48 hours, etc.?
Here is how it appears to work. A rain delay of 24 hours, the controller “rounds up” to the next day in the daily interval. Not the actual next day.
Example: Interval set to 3 days.
Day 1 Water Day
Day 2
Day 3
Day 4 Water Day Rain delay from Day 1 of 1 day (24 hours), 2 days (48 hours), 3 days (72 hours)
Day 5
Day 6
Day 7 Water Day Rain delay from Day 1 of 4 days, 5 days, 6 days
Day 8
Day 9
Day 10 Water Day Rain delay from Day 1 of 7 days, 8 days, 9 days
Notes:
1. As you can see 24 hours translates to 3 days, 48 hours translates to 3 days.
2. Is there a way to be able to shift the whole watering schedule by the rain delay? For example: a rain delay of 24 hours actually gives a 24 hour delay (Day 1 becomes Day 2) to Day 2 and Day 3 becomes Day 4, Day 4 becomes Day 5. Is there a software switch in the app that will still give a watering interval of 3 days but also account for the rain delay.
3. Always rounding up to the next day in the water interval day kind of makes the rain delay function useless. A 24 hour rain delay doesn’t give 24 hours.
Please help.
Thank you,
Dwayne
