I have two gen 2 hubs because there is no place in my house that is close enough to both faucets. I could find no information on how to connect a faucet to a particular hub. Simply adding a device intended for Hub 2 doesn’t work since it tries the first hub and then complains that it is too far. What I had to do was to temporarily disconnect the first hub, reset it’s connection so I was sure it appeared offline and then connect the new device. When I reconnected the first hub things seemed to be working OK in that I could reach and test water all faucet zones. Still I don’t know if this is the correct procedure or not.

I have the same issue although all sensors can sometimes connect to just 1 hub but other times some are out of reach. I cannot get both hubs to say on-line. to I bought another hub but I am having difficulty keeping them both on-line at the same time. When 1 or both hubs mysteriously go off-line: I try various things including the one you mentioned without consistent success. Anyway, Orbit should come out with how to make multiple hubs work, and explanation of how they work, or just say you cannot have multiple hubs!

We are left to fend for ourselves on intermittent problems such as these. Are you using Gen 2 hubs? I have found the Gen 2 setup considerably more reliable and worth the upgrade. Since getting the various devices hooked up to their respective hubs back in June I have had the hub go offline once which I attributed to my router needing a reboot as some other non-orbit devices mysteriously went offline. Routers handling lots and lots of devices can be problematic. I feel reasonably certain that the hub assignments have remained in place since there is no way that the devices I have could reach other than the closest hub and they work reliably. I could never say that about my Gen 1 setup which was always having problems with devices going offline.
