    You need to connect a 24V coil relay to the pump connection and the common (ground) connection. The relay should be rated to handle the load of your pump. connect the sensor to the sensor terminals (remove the jumper first). I found that the sensor requires a decent rain before it triggers the unit not to allow watering, so don’t be surprised if you see it watering while it is raining.

    Try removing the heads at the end of the system and purging the pipes for a minute or two, then replace those heads and remove the remaining heads again and clean them well, doing a quick purge between each head removal. I had a similar situation after a pipe was broken by landscapers and dirt/debris got into the pipes. Doing what I described finally fixed things.

    If you have a rain sensor attached it may be defective, or it may still be wet from a recent rain.
    It certainly sounds like a rain sensor issue.

    Almost looks like it could possibly be a supply voltage problem from either the power outlet or the unit’s power transformer.
