How to troubleshoot nonresponsive buttons
If you’re experiencing an issue with the button(s) not working on your Orbit device, then this article can help with troubleshooting.
We’d like to have you try power cycling the Orbit device. Half the time, a simple power cycle of the device will help address this issue. To do this, unplug your device for 10-15 seconds, and then plug your device back in.
For Hose Faucet Timers, remove the battery tray for 10-15 seconds, ensure fresh and charged batteries are inserted correctly, and then reseat the battery tray. If there is any debris on the connectors in the battery tray, please ensure it is removed/cleared before reinserting the tray.
If you still experience an issue and this is the Indoor/Outdoor B-hyve device, we’d like you to reset the gray ribbon cable located on the inside of the swing panel of the B-hyve device. To do this, simply unplug the gray ribbon cable from the B-hyve device’s power board, leave it out for about 10-15 seconds, and then plug it back in.
When unplugging the cable, try to place your fingers as close to the connector as possible.
If you’ve done everything above, and you still can’t get the buttons to respond, click here to begin the replacement process.
