    Sorry, I misread your post. I was in the process of changing the battery on my flood sensor and assumed that you were too.

    You need to reset the sensor to clear the alert. Press the yellow dot on the bottom of the sensor 5 times in quick succession to reset it.

    I came here looking for the same answer. Not finding one, I took a chance and succeed. There is a little slot on the side of the sensor on the opposite side of the string. Put a small flat head screwdriver in the slot and pry the top off. It will just pop open.

    After you have replaced the battery press the yellow dot on the bottom of the sensor 5 times in quick succession to reset the low battery alert.
