How to Adjust your Smart Watering Schedule

Watering schedule adjustments allow you to adjust the estimated run-time and estimated days between watering for this zone.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The estimated run-time and estimated days between watering are NOT constant. Based on weather conditions, and the needs of your plants, the actual run-times and intervals will vary throughout the year. The estimates are shown to provide a general estimate of what to expect in ‘average’ conditions. This can also mean that if you live in a climate that is warmer during the winter months, that the system will likely not display an accurate estimation for those months.

Example of how to adjust:

If this zone is watering too frequently, or not frequently enough, tap the ‘Adjust’ button beneath the “Estimated Days Between Watering” heading on the Watering Schedule Adjustment Screen. Adjust the interval to increase or decrease the estimated days between watering. Each interval may be different depending on conditions but the average will be longer or shorter as adjusted.

If this zone is watering for too long or too short during each watering event, tap the ‘Adjust’ button beneath the “Estimated Run Time” heading on the Watering Schedule Adjustment Screen. Adjust the run time for a longer or shorter estimated duration. Each run time may be different depending on conditions but the average run time will be longer or shorter as adjusted.

Below are some screenshots showing how to reach the part of the app where you can make these adjustments:

First, go to the Home Page of your app

Then select the “Zones” page

Select the zone you wish to edit

Then select the “Smart Watering Details” option

Once you have done that, then select “Schedule adjustments” and follow the steps at the beginning of the article to adjust your Smart Watering schedule.

*Please note that smart watering may want to run 2 start times instead of just a single run time. This cannot be edited and is happening because watering twice for a shorter period is how the smart watering system would prefer to run.
