What to do if your Flood Sensor isn’t making a noise
If your Flood Sensor isn’t providing an audio alert when triggered, try these simple steps below.
In some cases the pins connecting to the speaker in the Flood Sensor may not be making a good connection and reseating them will help address this issue.
1. Insert a flathead screwdriver into the open slot
2. Turn the screwdriver 90º to snap open the cover
3. Clear any debris in the Sensor and then reinstall the cover by snapping it back in place
Once reseated, try testing an alert by holding a paperclip to each side of the contacts located on the bottom of the Flood Sensor. While holding the paperclips, you should hear an audible tone and if notifications are enabled, you’ll see an alert on your phone/tablet.
