My Timer Only Runs For 1 Second, And Then Shuts Off – B-hyve Indoor/Outdoor controller

If your timer is running for only 1 second and then shutting off, it’s likely that your timer has the Rain Sensor terminals online. Your B-hyve controller will prevent the system from running if your Rain Sensor is active. You will still be able to run your controller in a manual cycle, but your custom and Smart programs will not water. If you are experiencing this issue, you will need to turn off your Rain Sensor Terminals.

To turn your Rain Sensor terminals off:

  1. 1. Make sure your controller is in the auto position
  2. 2. Hold down the Rain Delay button down for 5 seconds.
  3. 3. The timer display will show “SENS OFF”, indicating that the Rain Sensor terminal is now turned off.

If you are using our B-hyve XD, B-hyve Indoor timer, or the B-hyve Indoor/Outdoor timer, there is another step to make sure that your timer doesn’t believe that there is a rain sensor attached.

Start by taking a look at the wiring for your timer, and find the “Sensor” Terminals. Here you want to make sure that you have the jumper wire in these terminals. If the jumper wire is not there, then your timer may think that it has a sensor attached and active.

If the Jumper is gone then please find a small piece of wire to replace the jumper and insert it into the sensor terminals.
